The formula for calculating UPS dimensional weight is: length (cm) × width (cm) × height (cm) / 5000. For the calculation method of the chargeable weight, compare the actual weight and the dimensional weight of each piece, take the larger one, and then sum them up (for example, if a shipment has two pieces, A and B, with actual weights of A=15kg and B=8kg, and dimensional weights of A=10kg and B=16kg respectively, then the chargeable weight is 15 + 16 = 31kg).

Remote Area Surcharge: For parcels destined for remote areas, a additional surcharge is applied, amounting to 3.5 RMB/KG multiplied by the fuel cost for the current month. The minimum charge for a single shipment is 171 RMB, calculated in the same manner.

Textile fees: According to the latest regulations of the Hong Kong Trade Department in 2011, only shipments to the United States require an import license, with an additional fee of 50 yuan per shipment (textiles to Nigeria are not accepted). 

Fuel surcharge: Subject to the announcement on the UPS website, adjusted monthly.

The calculation method for the irregular packaging surcharge is as follows:

The following shipments are subject to an additional charge of 40 RMB per piece: (The following are duplicate charges, and the additional charges will be accumulated as long as the conditions for additional charges are met).

Any item packed in a metal or wooden shipping container.

①.  Any cylindrical objects that are not completely wrapped in corrugated paper, such as barrels, drums, buckets, or tires, etc.

②. Any package where the length of the longest side exceeds 152 centimeters or the length of the second longest side exceeds 76 centimeters.

③. If the actual weight of any individual item exceeds 32 kilograms.

2. The following shipments are subject to an additional RMB 388* fuel surcharge per piece (if multiple of the following conditions are met, the fee will be charged only once, but RMB 40 per piece will be charged simultaneously).

①. The longest side exceeds 270 cm.

②. The sum of length plus twice the width plus twice the height exceeds 330CM (but cannot exceed 419CM)

③. The actual weight of a single piece exceeds 69KG.

Reference validity period

The calculation for the package starts from the time it is delivered to the UPS warehouse. The reference normal delivery time is 2-7 working days (this time frame is from when the shipment is logged online until the recipient receives it), excluding special circumstances! The delivery time is closely related to the customs clearance time of each destination and flight arrangements.

Compensation/Insurance/Other Value-Added Services

1、 Compensation standards

For express items with few pieces, out-of-stock, or damaged items, such as those where the recipient receives an express item with inconsistent weight, quantity, number of pieces, or a damaged one, the recipient is requested to report the loss or damage to the destination UPS within 24 hours of receiving the package. Additionally, the recipient must provide the local registration number and accident certificate registered by the recipient to our company within 7 working days to facilitate the investigation and claim against UPS. After verification by UPS, the maximum compensation will be the exemption of freight and the declared value of the package, with a maximum of no more than 100 USD. For partial damage or loss, compensation shall be made according to the percentage of the actual number of lost items in the total number, but the maximum compensation shall not exceed 100 USD.

Loss of express items due to customs inspection: When express items pass through customs, customs may open the parcels for inspection, which may lead to the loss of the parcels, the loss of all or part of the items in the parcels, or seizure by customs. Our company shall not bear any liability arising therefrom.。

2. Declared Value  UPS has no requirements for the declared value; customers can decide the amount to fill in by themselves. It is recommended to declare according to the actual value of the goods to avoid high tariffs and fines.
